Research Interests:

My principal research interests lie in Software Engineering, Human Computer Interaction and Machine Learning. My PhD addressed the topic: “Toward a Mood Sensitive Integrated Development Environment to Help Programmers’ to Improve Their Performance”. I have interests in empirical software engineering and applying machine learning techniques to develop software. In addition, I am also focusing on agile development, algorithms, data structures and affective computing.
Current focus of my research is encompassing the above areas but more toward impact oriented research. For example, how computer and software interfaces can be effectively utilized by the illiterate and semi-illiterate population? In addition, how the research done in the developed countries can be utilized in the developing countries considering their population, culture and society? My focus of research is also on the adaptive interactive systems where the focus is on the use of ICTs’ in effective delivery of information and rights to the general population. This information should consider context of the individual user in order to deliver effective and useful information. He is also a HEC approved supervisor since 2010.
