Our research group mainly focuses on the use of modern and innovative techniques for design and construction of different structures/ structure members. Now a days various waste materials like rubber, plastics, glass etc and mineral admixtures like rice husk ash, slag, fly ash, bagasse ash etc are used as partial replacement of cement/ aggregate in concrete/mortar. Our group also focuses on the use of these wastes in concrete and the development of geopolymers/alklai-activated based materials for the complete replacment of cement. Few reserachers are currently working on rheological properties of 3D printed materials. Also, advancements related to earthquake engineering design will be incorporated. Performance based design and different issues regarding structural stability will be covered.
