To investigate the dynamics of Socio-technical systems with a particular focus on crowd dynamics and simulation, the group is using a multi-disciplinary approach involving technologies, social networks, human-computer interaction, and computational social science. To achieve it, we also focus on large-scale agent-based modeling and analysis by utilizing parallel and distributed simulation. The group has also a focus on the role of software engineering principles in the design and construction of software. Particularly research in Software design and architectures, requirement engineering, quality assurance, and software project management aspects are studied.
